Level 2 Award in Health and Safety within Health and Social Care Settings 

Level 2 Award in Health and Safety within Health and Social Care Settings has been developed to give learners who work in or wish to work in health and social care settings the knowledge of basic health and safety practices that are increasingly essential in a health and social care environment. It will give learners the confidence to implement effective health and safety policies.

Topics include:

• An understanding of the roles and responsibilities for health, safety and welfare
• An understanding of the process of risk assessment and how they improve health and safety at work
• Knowledge of procedures for responding to accidents, near misses and ill-health
• Knowledge of how to control the risks of infection

This 2-day course takes place on Wednesdays and Thursdays, once a month, from 09:30 am to 2:00 pm, and can be accessed in Wolverhampton or Walsall.
